So it seems as if I've fallen back into the familiar habit of livejournal neglect. I'm so up and down with this thing. On one hand, I love being able to let
intellectwon (the only person who reads my lj that I know in real life) know what is going on in my life. On the other, "journals" are traditionally the place where you are supposed to be able to write about things that you wouldn't necessarily want to broadcast to the millions of people who have access to the internet. I know, I could make this private or friends only, but I don't really see the point when I could just write it in a place than can't get hacked. Also, lately I've been wondering why I bother spending time making friends on the internet when I could spend that time working on making real life friends, or fostering my existing real life relationships. Basically, I am all for livejournal if it makes it easier for your real life friends to catch up on your life, or if it helps you hook up with people that you will eventually meet in real life, but in my opinion internet friendships just don't measure up to the real deal. The internet is awesome in many ways, but it is also the breeding ground for lies, drama, skankiness, and fakness...
Kath, let's start e-mailing instead, mmkay?
